Day 25.

At the community meeting yesterday, I took on the task of dealing with the cups and glasses.  Don’t need to collect them, as peers put them in the dishwasher trays.  Just simply to deal with the dishwasher and put them back on the shelves when done.  It will keep me busy and focused.

So first task of the day was to deal with the dishwasher.

Good session today in Men’s Group, made me realise more within myself about finding the right group when I leave the castle.  One of the therapists helped me today finding some LGBTQ groups.  I was not aware that there was even LGBTQ groups, and was pleasantly surprised to see how many exist.  Loads in America, which I can easily attend on Zoom.  I feel more at ease knowing these groups exist and that I will be able to find a sponsor who understand and fits better into my lifestyle.

I was intending on getting more of Step 2 done during the breaks today, but insurance is playing around and I don’t have a verification code yet.

I spent all the free time today calling my insurance company.  The castle now need to fill some forms out and email them to my insurance company.  Everything is under control again, so I will let the castle deal with it and focus on my steps tomorrow.

Randomly, a new peer started in the castle today.  I realised that I know this peer.  I have not seen this peer in over 25 years!  So at some point we will have a catch up.  This has not affected me as it was nice to see an old friend, life has moved on, so we are different people now.

Tomorrow is another day, step work, step work, step work!
