After many calls and paperwork back and forth between the doctor and my insurance, tomorrow is finally the day that I can start on my journey towards recovery.
Tomorrow I will be admitted into a licenced medical rehabilitation facility, with rules and conditions I must follow:
- No Phones (only twice a week, for an hour at a time)
- No Alcoholic products (like deodorant, face wash, hair spray etc)
- No leaving the facility grounds
- Strict schedule to adhere too
- And many more ………….
I have mixed feelings; feelings of the unknown:
- Will this work?
- Will I still have an addiction when I return back to the real world?
- What is the place going to be like?
- Will I get on with the other people?
- What type of people will be in there?
- Are other people going to be as bad, if not worse than me?
- Will I be able to cope in this bubble environment for 4 weeks?
- Is 4 weeks enough time?
