The day started off in my usual way of routine and going to work. But, then I was notified that a fellow from the castle has passed away.
I had built a good friendship with this fellow. We spent time in isolation together and had many laughs during our time in the castle. This fellow was a very kind soul, pleasant and I found easy to talk to. It is a shame how cruel recovery and this world can be. My thoughts go out to his family, friends and fellow people in the castle who were also friends.
Besides work, I did not do much for the rest of the day and was reminiscing about this fellow all day. Greif can take time. It also made me thankful and grateful to have the support I have, and that I am sticking to my recovery plan. I must stay strong and not allow myself to relapse or put myself in temptation.
We must appreciate the time we have more and more each day.
